The Prayer Power behind the "Incorruptible Blood" of Jesus
A short series that includes a functional comparison to human blood
Jesus said "do this in remembrance of me" 1 Corinthians 11:25
Points of consideration for the series
1. Scriptures showing that God provided blood for sin cleansing
2. Before Jesus, animal blood sacrifices gave only a temporary fix
3. The Blood of Jesus is final
4. The power behind prayers pleading the Blood of Jesus is it's Divinity
Up to the birth of Jesus, the blood of animals that the priests used in temple sacrifices was a corruptible blood that only offered atonement for at most one year. The process was repeated annually. Man's sin needed atonement, remission and deliverance long term, eternally. Only the incorruptible blood of Jesus could do this. The book of Revelations 13:8 calls Christ the Lamb that was slain from creation of the world. In Hebrews the eternal power of the Blood of Jesus is contrasted with sacrificial animal blood.
Hebrews 9:11But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.13For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
But the blood of Jesus being incorruptible redeems us into an incorruptible eternal position as 1Peter 1:2-4 says we are...
“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,”
In the next series we will show a scientific explanation of the incorruptibility of Jesus as well as functional similarity to human blood.
